Krishka grew up as part of a generation that learned to use technology before they could ride a tricycle.After spinning since the age of 14, he threw himself into production at 18. One year later he released « Pilz Don’t Kill » on French Lopez Records (USA) and is expected to release his first EP end of December 2010 with Dubnoir Music. Even though a day of production for him takes place on his macbook, by night. Kriskha has lit up the hottest dance floors in Paris.As well he has already mixed at Social Club, L’Elysée Montmartre and the list goes on. Although he works primarily in Paris, his music extends beyond the limits of the city far and wide. Simply Kriskha is young and Makin it happen.

'Khannibal' with african vocal chants and a hauting synthline is sure to get the party started. 'Krumpet' is one for the dedicated heads with a remix from Thieve, who at the moment cannot be named until further notice :), just remember you heard his sound here first. The final track 'Hakha' wraps up this EP nicely.

General Information:

Those who remember the Abstract Latinism series released on Artform back in the late 1990’s will find the ‘La Marachi EP’ by Birmingham’s rising star Chris James filled with the same South American sunshine to heat the cold winter nights. ‘Surco De Boogaloo’ and ‘La Marachi’ have been doing serious damage to dance floors recently and with Brazil’s XRS and Italy’s Wasabi on remix duties this EP is set to re-kindle that Latinism tech-house vibe to full effect.

Chris James productions have been getting massive support recently from some of the biggest names including artists such as; Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Fake Blood, Catz N Dogz, Tom Findlay, Nic Fanciulli, Round Table Knights, Jamie Anderson, Jet Project, Silicone Soul, Riva Starr, Daniel Haaksmann and Oliver $. Chris has also been releasing innovative, forward thinking House music on labels such as Worthy’s Anabatic and his own DubNoir label.

Chris is a welcome new addition to Artform’s legacy proving yet again that Jamie Anderson knows how to use his A&R skills for supporting only the crème de la crème of fresh new talent.

Originally set up in 1997 by Jamie Anderson, Artform has racked up over a decade worth of Detroit and Chicago influenced Tech-House championed by the likes of Richie Hawtin, DJ Sneak, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Laurent Garnier. The label released the first records of Jesse Rose and Jamie Anderson as well as music and remixes by established artists such as Dave Angel, Steve Rachmad, Jerome Krom, Eric De Man and Stanny Franssen.

Up this month Chris James brings us the Amazonia EP. Chris comes to us from Birmingham and has been busy working on his own label Dubnoir. When we heard the first track off the EP, Duro, we knew we had to put it out. Duro is a deep pulsing tune that takes you into the heart Amazon where crazy tribes men are hunting bass with conga drums. Up on the remix of Duro are two Anabatic favorites, Yankee Zulu and Deepchild. Yankee Zulu brings Duro deep into the ghetto of the Jungle with a nice rising and falling line that takes you right into the darkness of the Jungle, before you get spit spit back out into the sun. Deepchild gives us his detroit take on duro with his dub for Gabor Remix that takes the original and twists the sounds until you are trippin out with a panther in a tree. The last track on the Ep, Trompa, takes things a bit deeper and darker with tropical drums that bounce you through the track.Enjoy

The "1st Anniversary EP" showcases the talents of past producers on DubNoir Music & fresh exciting prospects of the ever growing house scene. This EP marks DubNoir's first year within the industry and is a celebration EP, hopefully with many more to come. Dirtybird's very own EDU K gets his groove on with "Uirapuru", again another big track with tonnes of percussive element for the die hard tech house heads. Things get nastier but still stay grooving, with HEADSHOTBOYZ "Something With A Beat". This duo are really creating a storm in the scene, and their debut EP on DubNoir is out later this summer which is all things gypsy. UK duo SICK JARGON drop "Memories" with its cool old school, and i mean old school, 1960's/70's sample going into some pure tech fire for the clubs. DubNoir veteran KYLE WATSON has produced another hit exclusively for the label with "This Thing". This reeks of Kyle's earlier EP in 2009, DNM001, which got the label up and running and its the sound thats kept people coming back for more each release. The final track is from DubNoir's newest recruit, ROBERT BOOGERT. The Dutch producer has cooked up a stinker of a track with "TOUCHE". Im amazed at how much funk there is in this track, it will surely be a hit for most floors this summer, keep an eye of for more productions from Mr Boogert in the future on DubNoir.

Chris's '"ME MYSELF & TOM EP" contains 'BANSURI' which is an instrument that is used throughout the track which sounds like an indian flute with grooving toms and percusion. This track is ready for the big rigs. "LA BAMBA" is just a straight party track made for the club, followed by "TWILIGHT", a track that was done a while ago but completes the package nicely. The Poligono Remix of LA BAMBA will keep you moving all night long with its glitchy perc rolls and clever use of the sample by the Mexican producer. This EP really showcases the sound that Chris & DubNoir are pushing into 2010.

Bio

Bram Faber aka Brabe (1989) grew up in a musical family, with both parents being classical musicians. Aged five he started to play violin, at ten he took lessons in trumpet and piano as well, and at thirteen he switched from violin to viola. At present he plays viola in various classical orchestras, and from time to time he jams out with friends on trumpet and piano. Being raised with classical music, Brabe couldn't care less about house music at first; it wasn't until his sixteenth that he started to get interested in house music, when he casually heard to some Dave Taylor and Jesse Rose tunes on the radio. He got hooked and started listening more and more house music, incidentally infecting good friend René van Munster, with whom he played in a classical orchestra, with his house fever. René van Munster had started to produce, and encouraged Brabe to do the same thing. Aged 17 they made their first EP together under the name Bootlickers, that was released on South-African Down South Music. Brabe's name got picked up quickly in the scene, soon releasing his first solo EP on German Brickhouse Records, with a remix by Oliver $. For the tracks Brabe made so far in his early career he received support from the likes of Crookers, Don Diablo, Malente, Kissy Sellout, Bart B More, HiJack and many others.
