DNM009 - VARIOUS ARTISTS - 1ST ANNIVERSARY EP (DUBNOIR MUSIC) OUT NOW
The "1st Anniversary EP" showcases the talents of past producers on DubNoir Music & fresh exciting prospects of the ever growing house scene. This EP marks DubNoir's first year within the industry and is a celebration EP, hopefully with many more to come. The label has had huge support and features over its debut year from the likes of ANNIE MAC bigging up the label on her RADIO 1 SHOW live in 2009, to underground support from the likes of SINDEN, DJ ZINC, OLIVER $, RENNAISANCE MAN, HIJACK, SOLO, CAMEL, SLAM, MALENTE, WORTHY, LAIDBACK LUKE, LEE MORTIMER AND SO MANY MANY MORE, too many to name.
This EP is a culmination of all things DubNoir. POLIGONO lays down his big shuffling South America percs and huge drums to massive effect on his track "Zempoala", which kicks things off nicely. Dirtybird's very own EDU K gets his groove on with "Uirapuru", again another big track with tonnes of percussive element for the die hard tech house heads. Things get nastier but still stay grooving, with HEADSHOTBOYZ "Something With A Beat". This duo are really creating a storm in the scene, and their debut EP on DubNoir is out later this summer which is all things gypsy. UK duo SICK JARGON drop "Memories" with its cool old school, and i mean old school, 1960's/70's sample going into some pure tech fire for the clubs. DubNoir veteran KYLE WATSON has produced another hit exclusively for the label with "This Thing". This reeks of Kyle's earlier EP in 2009, DNM001, which got the label up and running and its the sound thats kept people coming back for more each release. The final track is from DubNoir's newest recruit, ROBERT BOOGERT. The Dutch producer has cooked up a stinker of a track with "TOUCHE". Im amazed at how much funk there is in this track, it will surely be a hit for most floors this summer, keep an eye of for more productions from Mr Boogert in the future on DubNoir.
