For our first release of 2011 we are excited to have Chris James return to Anabatic to follow up his successful Amazonia EP of 2010. This time around he gives us the Copacabana EP with two perfect tracks in Chris's stripped back bass heavy tropical style. The first track El Barrio is a full on house track with a bumping bassline to keep you rolling along with a catchy latin piano. Chris follows up El Barrio with the spicy Habanera with big bouncing bass and a great synth sound to work you. Up on remix duty Worthy takes El Barrio and comes in with a drum filled pulsing house remix that can work any dance floor.

Enjoy!!!

General Information:Those who remember the Abstract Latinism series released on Artform back in the late 1990’s will find the ‘La Marachi EP’ by Birmingham’s rising star Chris James filled with the same South American sunshine to heat the cold winter nights. ‘Surco De Boogaloo’ and ‘La Marachi’ have been doing serious damage to dance floors recently and with Brazil’s XRS and Italy’s Wasabi on remix duties this EP is set to re-kindle that Latinism tech-house vibe to full effect.Details:Chris James productions have been getting massive support recently from some of the biggest names including artists such as; Claude Von Stroke, Justin Martin, Fake Blood, Catz N Dogz, Tom Findlay, Nic Fanciulli, Round Table Knights, Jamie Anderson, Jet Project, Silicone Soul, Riva Starr, Daniel Haaksmann and Oliver $. Chris has also been releasing innovative, forward thinking House music on labels such as Worthy’s Anabatic and his own DubNoir label.

Chris is a welcome new addition to Artform’s legacy proving yet again that Jamie Anderson knows how to use his A&R skills for supporting only the crème de la crème of fresh new talent.Originally set up in 1997 by Jamie Anderson, Artform has racked up over a decade worth of Detroit and Chicago influenced Tech-House championed by the likes of Richie Hawtin, DJ Sneak, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson and Laurent Garnier. The label released the first records of Jesse Rose and Jamie Anderson as well as music and remixes by established artists such as Dave Angel, Steve Rachmad, Jerome Krom, Eric De Man and Stanny Franssen.
